Seems to work OK here. Launching and initializing were incredibly fast (Leopard 10.5.8). I'll try on my Win7 machine right away.

Had a question on LAN sync : what about two machines ont the same local network, using two different Dopbox accounts but sharing a folder: are the shared contents synced through LAN or Internet?

    Thank you guys!

just installed on both machines, one is windows xp the other is ubuntu 9.04.
both machines are on the same network, but there is no "LAN" next to the download speed.
does this mean that the content is being downloaded from the cloud?

i have my complete dropbox downloaded on my ubuntu 9.04 machine. i have completely new installed dropbox on my works laptop with windows xp. the download is working, but it appears to be coming from the internet - there is no "LAN" in the status display and the download speeds are too slow for local network.

should this not be taking the initial download from the other machine instead of over the internet?

    0.6.567 works perfectly for me
0.7.27 does not connect at all (Constantly "Connecting") with proxy.

    Still working fine here :)

Will Dropbox LAN P2P sync with any clients on the local LAN, or just the ones that share the same Dropbox account or a folder?

0.7.28 work fine at Windows Vista, LAN sync work (with "LAN" when files sync in office), Office 2007 problem looks solved. Very good job!

I have a windows box and a linux laptop. Both run 0.7.28. But I don't see any speed up in syncing (outgoing rate is about 10-20k/s, if I do a manual rsync between those boxes, I get around 500k/s).
I.e., it looks as if LAN sync does not work. Any way I could find out why? This is a stock-standard network setup managed by a netgear wireless router.

    Cheers,
